Due to the excellent properties of cast iron and the special surface structure, heat is efficiently stored and transferred. The pre-treated surface (seasoned finish) eliminates the need for initial burn-in and the robust Dutch Oven can be used immediately. Outdoors it is used on an open fire or with charcoal. The raised edge of the lid makes it possible to place embers or charcoal also on the Dutch Oven. This way the Dutch Oven is heated from all sides and is also suitable for baking bread, for example.

The Dutch Oven is equipped with ingenious details that make it easier to handle and increase the pleasure of cooking. A robust handle allows the Dutch Oven to be lifted safely and a thermometer feed-through allows the temperature to be checked without having to lift the lid. This version of the Dutch Oven is equipped without feet and has a plane bottom surface. If you want to lift the hot lid, you can do this very easily with the Dutch Oven Lid Lifter. Another highlight is that the lid can also be used as a pan upside down. Together with all these clever details, the Dutch Oven comes in the classic Petromax design: the lid is adorned with the elegant Petromax logo, which has always stood for excellent quality and high-grade products.

The Petromax Dutch Oven is available in several sizes, so that the right pot can be selected for the respective recipe or number of people. All Dutch Oven sizes are available with feet or with a plane bottom surface. In the medium size version ft4.5 without feet, the Dutch Oven has a maximum capacity of 3.5 liters (pot). This allows dishes for 2-5 persons to be prepared. In addition to the Dutch Oven Lid Lifter, other accessories are available for the Petromax Fire Pot, such as the Transport and Storage Bag, the Care Conditioner and, for cleaning cast iron, the Chain Mail Cleaner.
